Julie Yoo, general partner, a16z
Julie Yoo is a General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz where she leads investments in healthcare technology, with a focus on companies that are modernizing how we access, pay for, and experience the healthcare system. Prior to joining a16z, Julie was the co-founder, Chief Product Officer, and Board Director at Kyruus, a venture-backed healthtech company recognized as a market leader in patient access. Julie led product management, engineering, and sales and marketing for the company, and helped scale the business to reach 20M patients and over 225,000 healthcare providers across the U.S. Julie was previously VP of Product at Generation Health, and was with the company from its inception through acquisition by CVS Health. Julie was also a Product Manager at Knome, the world's first whole genome sequencing service for private individuals. Julie’s tech career began as an early member of the software engineering team at Endeca Technologies, which was acquired by Oracle. Julie studied computer science and pre-medicine as an undergrad at MIT and obtained an MS in genomics from Harvard-MIT HST and an MBA from MIT Sloan. Julie is a Young Global Leader with the World Economic Forum and has been recognized through numerous awards and honors from Becker’s Hospital Review, Health Data Management, MedTech Boston, and Rock Health. Julie serves on a number of portfolio company boards, including AKASA, Bayesian Health, Firefly Health, Ribbon Health, Tomorrow Health, and Zus Health.

Ashok Chennuru, global chief data & insights officer, Elevance Health
As the Global Chief Data & Insights Officer, Ashok oversees the responsibility of carrying out the vision of Carelon Digital Platforms and bringing to life digital solutions that enhance healthcare outcomes and accelerates the company growth by reimagining care delivery, operations, and customer experiences. He is particularly passionate about using data analytics to drive a digital-first approach across the company's artificial intelligence (AI), exponential technology, service experience, and innovation portfolios as well as the commercialization efforts of the organization's digital capabilities for consumers, care providers, and the health ecosystem.

Aabed Meer, MD, partner, Questa Capital
Aabed Meer, MD is a Partner at Questa Capital focused on growth-stage healthcare technology, healthcare services, and medical device investments. His investments include, Epic Systems, Altruista Health (acquired by Blackstone), HealthPlan Services (acquired by Wipro), Performance Health (acquired by Patterson Medical), AAI Pharma (acquired by CML/Alcami), and Breg. Previously, he was a Director and member of the founding team at Martis Capital, where he focused on private equity investments in the healthcare sector. Prior to that, he was with Capricorn Investment Group and New Enterprise Associates. Early in his career, he contributed to the Human Genome Project, an international research effort led by the National Institutes of Health. He also worked on health economics and policy matters at Kaiser Permanente and the U.K.’s National Health Service. He graduated from Harvard University with an AB in Biochemical Sciences, and from Stanford University with an MD and MBA. He completed his medical residency training at Stanford University and continues to serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor.

Tarun Mehra, vice president, Healthcare Strategy, M&A and Partnerships, Microsoft (Nuance)
Tarun Mehra is Vice President of Healthcare Strategy, M&A, and Partnerships at Microsoft / Nuance. His role is focused on advancing the overarching Nuance + Microsoft Healthcare strategy across Provider and Payor segments. Prior to his current role, Tarun spent about 18 years in various strategy consulting roles serving large corporate and private equity clients in healthcare and technology sectors. Most recently, Tarun was an Associate Partner with Monitor Group (now Deloitte) advising large IDNs and health plans on growth strategy, portfolio assessment, M&A due diligence, and innovation strategy. Prior to that, he led the healthcare consulting business at Fuld & Co. and also founded a new line of business for the firm, which he ran as CEO for two years before helping find a strategic exit. He began his career in technology and product development and later transitioned to business strategy roles post his MBA. Tarun completed mechanical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, and received his MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore.

Munjal Shah, co-founder and CEO, Hippocratic AI
Munjal Shah is the co-founder and CEO of Hippocratic AI, a startup building the first safety-focused large language model (LLM) for healthcare. The company is on a mission to dramatically improve healthcare access, equity and outcomes through the use of generative AI. Munjal is a serial entrepreneur, startup advisor and investor. Prior to founding Hippocratic AI, Munjal served as co-founder and CEO of a healthcare startup leveraging AI to analyze health records to help seniors select the best Medicare Advantage plan. Munjal also served as co-founder and CEO of an AI computer vision and machine learning company that was acquired by Google and a marketplace management, research and analytics company that eventually sold to Alibaba. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University, with a focus on AI, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from US San Diego where his senior thesis explored the use of AI in the design of new therapeutics.
